What an experience…

I will not give up, it’s not as easy as it looks – I was going to try no matter what. Skiing that is..  During my first attempt down the bunny slope, I fell several times even almost taking down my cousin and another skier. I lost control, fell again, could not get back up, took off one ski then lost it in the process when it went sliding down the hill without me. My cousin went after it which was hilarious and as I sat there all I could say to myself was, “Next time, I’m taking a 3 hour beginners course.” :giggling: It’s not easy being taught by others when they are there to have fun and not have to waste time trying to explain in several different ways how and why to position your blades a certain way. I was already frustrated and a little annoyed at myself. I desperately wanted to get the hang of it quickly. Why, why why!?  Everyone looked so in control and were having so much fun.  I wanted to be doing what they were doing.  I know practice makes perfect but at this point, my wrist were on fire and I was in pain so I decided to stop out of fear that I would break my wrist.  I found a place to sit and just watched in amazement.  What a great experience and I can’t wait to try it again.  I will not give up!!

Today, I go snow tubing! I can’t wait.

Until later… Peace & love xox

As I wait in Gate H…

It seems like the other day I was waiting in Terminal D waiting for a flight and now I’m back just sitting and waiting – why yes, I’m leaving for a few days again — but who’s complaining. I love to travel.  I don’t need an excuse.  On this trip I will be battling the freezing cold in the mountains — I’m going skiing.  It’s my first time and I can’t express how I’m excited I am.  I’m thrilled – but as I look at the weather report the temps are continuing to drop.  Oh my, I’m going to freeze my ass off. 😉 Who cares, I have plenty of clothes and hand warmers..LOL  Can we say snow angels!? YAY!!

Wish me luck…

Until next week.

Peace & Love xoxo

Lost in thought … waiting in the airport.

It’s quite amazing the moments and places that I seem to get inspired to open the laptop and babble.  Wait a minute – perhaps its the fact that I’m waiting in Terminal D awaiting my flight to LAS VEGAS!  I’m not going to lie, I’m super excited.  Oh come on  it’s LAS VEGAS – a city full of vibrance and full of life. Who wouldn’t be excited!? Looking forward to hitting the clubs, having a few drinks and of course trying my luck at the slots.  Did I mention it’s also my birthday weekend… PARTY PARTY!

I’ll be checking in soon —–.

A day at the Zoo…just to see Titan (Giraffe)

I don’t remember the last time I went to the zoo in my hometown but I went yesterday just to see Titan, the newest addition to the giraffe family.  He was born on June 28 and was kept from the public to bond with his mother. He made his debut on Wednesday July 11.  Zoo officials say that he was almost 6 ft tall and weighed about 130 pounds.  Can you imagine?  That’s newborn..Amazing!

Giraffe’s are my favorite animal.  I love everything about them.  I didn’t make it in time to the feeding post but I was able to get a few pictures.

Titan & his mother. (He is the cutest)  This is the only picture I was able to take of him.
I could stare at them all day!  So beautiful and gentle.

I can’t wait to go back this weekend.  I will be there early for feeding and close up shots.   #excited. 🙂 🙂 😉

Flashback Friday: Beach

The heat index is at record highs these days. Right now in Miami, Fl its about 93 degrees but feels like it’s 100 — Yikes! Gotta love Florida, when it’s hot, it’s scorching hot. After scrolling through a few pictures, I’d thought I share a few beach shots. I love the beach and I never need an excuse to pack up and go…well I do live in the sunshine state and only 15 minutes away from sandy beaches. 😉 #luckygirl

As I look at these pictures, I am immediately transported. #smiling. There is nothing like feeling the warm sand in between your toes and soaking up the sun.  #love

Hope everyone has a fabulous weekend.

I’m on my way to Naples, Fl for the weekend.  Beach here I come… 😉

I have been back for a week now but I feel like my mind is still looking at this view…

Somewhere in Virginia

I completely disconnected and it was fantastic. No worries, no cares — completely cleared my mind of everything.   I’m trying to get my head back in the game and ready to start babbling again but every time I look at the picture I get transported.  It was peaceful and serene, simply breathtaking.

The greatest reward and luxury of travel is to be able to experience everyday things as if for the first time, to be in a position in which almost nothing is so familiar it is taken for granted.

I’ll be back later…  Peace & Love xoxo

Flashback Friday

It’s Friday so why not have a little fun.  If you know me, you know that I love love love taking pictures.  I take pics of everything even pictures of pictures. I now have 2,949 pictures on my iPhone.  I will travel back in time {as far as the pics will let me) and choose one picture every Friday and see if I can remember what was going on that day, if not, I will invent something fun. HA! Enjoy! Happy Flashback Friday!

I remember this trip.  It was out of this world! Greetings from the future. 😉 😉 In October 2009, the hubs and I took a trip to Walt Disney World to celebrate his 37th birthday. It was definitely a fun weekend. He wore his birthday badge with honor. 😉

Peace and Love xxo

In this present moment…

My mind has transported me to another country which is 5,531.18 miles away.  I wouldn’t mind being on a fifteen hour flight to arrive to this:  Tahiti

If I was there now at this very moment I would not have any electronic devices by my side.  I would be disconnected from the world.  It’s just be me, myself and I.  That’s it.  There is nothing like closing your eyes and transporting yourself into a picture.  I can feel the suns warmth on my skin, the texture of the sand in my toes, and the sweet smell of the ocean.  It feels nice to getaway and be lost in a daze.

Perhaps, it’s time for me to plan my Tahiti getaway. :hint:

“I believe in imagination.”
