If Valentine’s day is a celebration of love and friendship, I can’t wait to see how many calls and messages I’m going to receive… HA!
As far as I’m concerned, Valentine’s day falls on a Tuesday. It’s just an ordinary day. It’s very easy to get caught up in the moment — everywhere you go, the stores are decorated with hearts and cupids — plush bears — chocolate, chocolate and more chocolate, who could resist. I’m so guilty..LOL
Cupid, if you’re out there, please help my girls find true love. Thank you!
Did you know: The first soon-to-be-cliché love poem is found in an English nursery rhyme compilation: – 1784 –
The rose is red, the violet’s blue
The honey’s sweet, and so are you
Thou are my love and I am thine
I drew thee to my Valentine
The lot was cast and then I drew
And Fortune said it shou’d be you.
This reminds me of all the cute V-day cards. #love #love
When I was a kid, I would always ask my parents to buy me a box of Valentine cards, it was my favorite part. Would you please be mine. I’m nuts about you. Be my Valentine. Today, I still browse (not buy) the kiddie cards… HA! Don’t judge! 😉
If only I was a kid again…
I’m 36 years old and I love giving and receiving cards, not just on v-day but any day throughout the year. The ones who know me, will tell you, that all my gifts always come with a card. I feel that a gift without a card is like the yin without the yang. That’s just me… 🙂 (Did I just go off topic?) LOL
I’m not going to criticise anyone for celebrating Valentine’s Day. It’s a day to celebrate love and friendships. To each their own… Have fun with it and start new traditions. 😉
All I know for sure, is that I tell the ones I care about, that I love them everyday. I don’t wait for specific calendar days to do so but that’s just me… I LOVE YOU!
Don’t wait until tomorrow, tell them how you feel now.
Until tomorrow… Peace, Love & Chocolate.. xoxo
