Holiday’s have you stressed!?

It’s very easy to feel overwhelmed and stressed during the holidays.  There is gift giving, decorating, parties to attend, planning of parties, cards to send, family visiting and all the while going to work and dealing with the day-to-day normal chores and routines.   Don’t stress, take it easy. {I know it’s easier said than done.} 😉

Here are my instructions:

  • Stay active, not just busy.  Continue your exercise routines, go for a walk.  Anything that will clear your mind.
  • Write yourself a to-do list and follow it.
  • Take time for yourself everyday.  Soak in a salt bath, read your favorite book, listen to music – close your eyes for at least 5 mins.  You will feel relaxed and refreshed.
  • Delegate, delegate, delegate – spread the holiday cheer – Don’t try to do it all.
  • Don’t forget to eat healthy.  Drink lots of water.  You don’t need to overeat.  The average weight gain from Thanksgiving to New Year is about 6 lbs. {Then you can stress after the holiday’s} 😉
  • Anticipate your needs in advance.  Plan ahead.  Leave things prepared the night before.  Even if it’s just your outfit for the next day or your left overs for lunch.  Every little bit helps.
  • Get a good nights rest. Min. 6-7 hours

If you are trying to create a ‘perfect christmas’, STOP IT!   Perfect doesn’t exist. There is no perfect gift or perfect partyDon’t forget the true meaning of the holiday’s.  Don’t overspend and get yourself in debt trying to buy presents for everyone you know.  Keep your list short and set yourself a limit.  Stick with it!  {Remember your presence is more important than any presents.}

Enjoy your holiday season with no fuss.  You have the time but make the most of it.

  • Do some shopping on-line to avoid the mall madness.
  • Do your shopping in the early morning.
  • If you are fortunate enough to work next to a shopping mall, take your hour and your list and get some quick shopping done.   {Don’t forget your power bar or packed lunch.}

So whatever you’re doing this holiday season make sure you have a plan.

Happy Holidays.

Until tomorrow… Peace & Love xox
